King Cage was founded in 1991 by Ron Andrews. While working at One Off Titanium, a customer asked for a titanium bottle cage. Ron gave it a try — and has been making bottle cages ever since. The stainless-steel bottle cage was introduced in 1996.

Ron’s career as a bicycle builder began in 1988 at Fat City Cycles. Before founding King Cage, he also worked for Ibis Cycles, Merlin Metalworks, Jo Breeze Cycles, Ted Wojac Cycles, and Yeti Cycles.

Today, King Cage products are still made in their garage in Durango, CO, using materials sourced from within the United States. King Cage is a small family-run business that takes pride in supporting the local Durango community whenever possible.
