WHY WE BUILD THIS HUB
We originally developed this hub as the cornerstone of our entire hub line. It was a product that embodied all our experience with hubs and bearings – resulting in a hub with the perfect blend of weight, performance, durability, and aesthetics. Despite the rise of disc brakes (and the R45D), we've continued to produce it because it remains a classic – and because so many riders still love their rim brakes, both on and off-road.
WHY YOU WANT HER
The R45 front hub is lighter and more aerodynamic than most "built to last" hubs on the market. Its narrow hub shell and low flanges make it an extremely stable base for any fast wheelset.
Our bearings – steel or ceramic – run on heat-treated, surgically precision raceways that are machined simultaneously to ensure a perfect fit between the inner and outer rings. You'll feel (and hear) this bearing quality and speed on every ride.
