5DEV R-Spec Mountain Aluminum Crankset

The 5DEV Aluminum Trail/Enduro R-Spec Cranks are brutally stiff, surprisingly light, and cleverly engineered. Precision CNC-machined from 7075 aluminum—one of the stiffest and strongest aluminum alloys for their weight—they utilize a unique cutout architecture with triangular bracing: material where you need it, removed where it would only be dead weight. The result is a direct, crisp pedal stroke on par with the stiffest cranks on the market.

When it comes to durability, they surpass their weight class. Aluminum withstands rock and ground contact better than carbon, and the slim profile with soft edges ensures true everyday usability without added weight. Material is also removed around the pedal threads – more ground clearance, fewer pedal strikes, cleaner lines.
